where I'm from

Detroit Michigan is the city and state.
Detroit known as the motor city, smog and carbon dioxide hazily lay across intersections where buses and people congregate.
Storefronts that used to be alive are now boarded up memories of a more prosperous time.
Six lanes of traffic don't stop kids from jutting out in front of oncoming coughing cars. there are bars on windows and even the convenience store uses bullet proof glass. They slide your purchases of purple punch to you through a turn-style of plexiglass that is meant to keep them safe.
as far as the eye can see there are for sales signs dotting the landscape mixed with people perspiring as they push lawn mowers in order to get ready for the next yard sale.

my nose is

my nose is crooked and twisted, not misses by a bottle of champagne and the pain has subsided but the line belies the impact.
the crack of glass on bottle, the crack of glass on bottle, the crack of glass on bone and
stones are more solid.
slipping softly to sleep i keep from doing, ruining my chances of concussion.
the percussion of rushing blood pulsing in my face places me in an awkward position, twisting ground from body, propping eyes from drooping, looping memories to keep me from repeating this cycle,
for my survival.
